It was a sunny day in June of 1984. Earl Van Wagoner and myself met Dr. Momberger at the Cottonwood Hospital's back clinic in Murray, Utah. We had been working with the clinic on developing the first Abdominal Curl Machine for back therapy. An older doctor with salt and pepper hair approached Earl and myself. He implored our assistance by saying, "You seem to be a very innovative company. I have been doing muscle testing of patients for many years and we desperately need a tool to quantify the results. It is so subjective, two doctors cannot agree on the test results of patients. It is a guess at best."
We took on the project with enthusiasm and optimism. After one year of development at Hoggan Health Industries, we brought to life the first digital muscle tester, which became the industry standard. From that first project to many additional Functional Evaluation tools for musculoskeletal testing, Hoggan Health Industries with its MicroFET brand has and continues to be the leading innovator in the field. It's pretty standard nowadays Hoggan Health Industries and its collective group of astute engineers to lead the way with product that changes the face of an enterprise. Thanks to a forward-thinking doctor, an entire industry has changed for the better.
